Tacos tacos tacos! I mean, when you're by Kansas City, KS, you have to get a taco and I wanted to venture to a taco spot I had never been to before and totally worth the find. I was running errands, I had done my workout (why yes, I do work out lol), and needed some fuel to get me going for the rest of the day. It was close-by and so off I went. Ordered the al pastor, carnitas, and barbacoa tacos which were all delicious though my favorite was the al pastor. It hit just right. The barbacoa was okay but wish it had packed more flavor. They also gave chips and a variety of salsas to use for your pleasure. It is unassuming from the outside and inside with a bunch of tables and chairs all laid on in a lengthy interior. Adding this to my growing list of legit taco spots. Happy eating and remember: Don't deny, satisfy!

I loved coming here. Place is run down. Wondering why they are selling. It doesn't make sense to me

I remember visiting this place just before covid, it looked really rough. The tacos have always been delicious so, as we can see, not only did the restaurant make it despite the pandemic it's appearance has been given a change for the better. This place looks a lot more inviting and family friendly. The tacos are still tasty AND the best part is that this is the only taco spot in town that packs a bunch of meat in their tacos. If you're looking for authentic mexican tacos with some flavor, look no further, this is it. They tend to stay busy during peak hours, so expect a bit of a wait, the dining room gets packed to the gills! The good thing is that they give you salsa and chips while you wait, you get 3 different types salsa with different levels of heat This place is a gem, you simply won't find many like it. Enjoy!!

BLOWN AWAY this place is a treasure, everything is heavenly, queso and salsas are perfect. I had the asada burrito and it was so flavorful, and the fresh vegetables totally made it!

Stop #43 on the KCK Taco Trail and I opted to change it up a bit and ordered a pastor torta. A fine sandwich with adequate amounts of savory meat, beans, mayo, tomato, lettuce and avocado. Bonus points for complimentary chips and 3 sauces. Pricing and service was good.

As others have said, I was lured here by the great Yelp reviews! At a place like this, I never judge the atmosphere or service and I am solely there for food. That being said, I was a bit underwhelmed. Authentic tacos are typically bursting with flavor and juiciness, but I just wasn't getting that. I feel like I ordered the wrong thing because of how many good reviews there are. They do have just about every staple of Mexican food to offer, so I hope to go back and give it another shot!

This our 5th stop on the KCK Taco trail and by far the best. The tacos have about twice the meat that we have gotten anywhere else. And they taste fantastic. Caritas, Lingua and Suadero. Tacos are about 50 cents more than the other places but well worth it.

The best of our KCK Taco Trail visits so far. None of us ordered tacos, so keep that in mind. Some dishes were a hit while others I wouldn't order again, but they still get five stars. Firstly, because the service was fantastic and secondly because the menu is large and I'm looking forward to sampling more on a future visit. The restaurant was empty on a Thursday evening, so our group of 5 grabbed the largest table in the back. Our server was super friendly and accommodating. She was quick to ask if we had questions and to answer everything we asked about the menu. Incidentally, her English was perfect, which I only mention because sometimes there's a language barrier that can make people unsure of what they are ordering. You won't feel uncomfortable here - unless it's when you pull into the gravel parking lot and wonder what you're getting yourself into with the faded paint and difficult to read signage. Back to the food. I knew I wanted a Gordita but wasn't decided between carnitas and suadero so I asked our server. She asked me if I knew what suadero is and then explained how their recipe is maybe a little different from others. The suadero was tasty and the Gordita was fine, but I would probably order it on a taco next time. My stepmom loved both the Tamales and the Chile Relleno, both of which are often hit or miss. Her relleno was not spicy, but our waitress made sure to tell us that the spice level just depends on if you happen to get a spicy or mild pepper. The Fajitas 3 Carnes also come with chorizo, which our server offered to serve on the side. I can see how the flavor would be nice mixed in with everything so next time I would opt to have it on top of the fajita platter. The steak or carne asada was pretty chewy and some of the smaller pieces were overcooked, but the chicken was flavorful and tender and the shrimp was perfect. I would order just shrimp fajitas next time. I liked that the griddled peppers weren't bell pepper, but were probably Serrano or poblano. Gave a really nice flavor to the fajitas. The fajita platters were served with melted cheese on top which was different, but our table seemed to enjoy. The Carnitas Burrito was just okay and we wouldn't order a burrito again. But we will be back, probably for breakfast as well. The Guacamole was also on point. And the trio of salsas were the best I can remember having. They are thin, but flavorful. The mild red doesn't just taste like tomatoes, it has a hint of spice. The verde salsa has medium heat and the third salsa is a spicy red with visible chile pepper seeds. But even the hot sauce is flavorful and while spicy the heat doesn't linger or make it impossible to taste anything else. It's a really pleasant and temporary burn. I would buy them all in bottles if they were for sale.

Yaaaaassss! I had the BEST time at TEM! We were in need of a quick lunch date spot and Yelp led me right to these tacos. Busy lunch crowd but we got a table, waters, menu and chips/salsa lickity split. Not the biggest dining area but food came out so quick. I had to try the tacos and my hubby can never refuse a torta. Everything we had was full of so much flavor! I surely can't wait to get back for mas delicious comida!
